Wrestling Roots (2:54)
Stallion was introduced to wrestling by his friend Cristobal Salcedo, despite his mother’s disapproval. His curiosity was sparked by watching wrestling, particularly the attention the performers received. He was initially drawn to Booker T on WCW, even though he wasn’t allowed to watch it. His first favorite wrestler was Chris Benoit, followed by Randy Orton during his teenage years.
Stallion’s fascination with wrestling grew as he admired the athleticism of the performers, particularly Benoit, which changed his view on wrestling from being “fake” to appreciating the sport. He attended his first RAW event in 2004 in San Antonio, Texas, bringing a sign that read “Evolution is history,” referencing the faction that Randy Orton was a part of. Though his sign was clever, it ended up covering his face in photos taken at the event.
Early Days, Legendary Influence (9:41)
Stallion trained at a wrestling school run by Fred Urban III, where he met and learned from wrestling legends like Billy Gunn, Matt Hardy, and DDP. He pursued wrestling seriously, quitting college to follow his passion. His training also included living in a lake house with Hulk Hogan and Jimmy Hart, providing him with unique insights into the wrestling business.
Stallion’s time in Ring of Honor (ROH) saw him participate in the Top Prospect tournament, where he worked with wrestlers like Roderick Strong and ACH. He credited his growth to being around experienced wrestlers in ROH and received early recognition for his potential. A significant moment in his career came when Delirious, the booker, informed him he would be the first participant in the Top Prospect tournament, boosting his confidence.
WWE Release, Overcoming Controversial Statements (38:23)
Stallion was released from WWE during a mass firing following a concussion and a management change. He quickly transitioned to Japan, where he found success and a supportive fanbase. Despite facing challenges due to a controversial incident that affected his bookings, he worked hard to rebuild his reputation in the wrestling community.

Stallion highlighted the difference in fan culture between Japan and the U.S., noting that Japanese fans are dedicated, respectful, and loyal, unlike some U.S. fans who can be more negative and critical. He mentioned the cultural importance of maintaining character integrity in Japan, where even socializing with another wrestler outside the ring could break kayfabe. Stallion expressed a deep personal connection to Japan, saying he would prefer to live there due to his positive experiences while wrestling.
He also discussed his training in Jiu Jitsu in Japan, where he had the opportunity to train with Sakuraba. Stallion described Sakuraba’s intense training sessions, which included kickboxing during warm-ups instead of traditional stretching, and emphasized the unique, body language-based coaching style. While he had trained in Jiu Jitsu in the U.S., he found the training in Japan to be much more intense and effective.
About Stallion Rogers
Camron Rogers, born July 13, 1990, in Crane, Texas, is a professional wrestler known by his ring names Curt Stallion and Stallion Rogers. He began his wrestling training under Jastin Taylor in Odessa, Texas, while attending San Antonio College. In January 2015, he moved to St. Louis, Missouri, to train under Michael Elgin.
Rogers quickly gained recognition in the independent wrestling scene, competing across various promotions, including Ring of Honor, AAW, House of Hardcore, Combat Zone Wrestling, The Crash, Glory Pro, Premiere Wrestling Xperience, REVOLVER, WrestleCircus, Scenic City Invitational, Southern Underground Pro, and Alpha-1. In 2018, he joined Evolve Wrestling, where he became a full-time member of their roster. He made his televised debut at Evolve 117 on December 15, 2018, facing A. R. Fox. Throughout his tenure with Evolve, he participated in notable matches, including a four-way freestyle match at Evolve 118 and a tag team match during the 10th Anniversary Celebration. In February 2020, he competed for the EVOLVE Championship but was defeated by Mansoor.
Rogers signed with WWE in 2020, appearing on the 205 Live brand and also making appearances on WWE NXT. After his WWE tenure, Rogers returned to the independent circuit, continuing to showcase his talents in various promotions. He has held multiple championships, including the ACW Unified Title, PGP Cutting Edge Title, Glory Pro Crown of Glory Title, AAW Tag Team Titles, CCW Tag Team Titles, BRCW Tag Team Titles, and the PWL World Title.
In July 2022, Rogers made his debut in Pro Wrestling NOAH at the NOAH Sunny Voyage 2022 event, where he faced Anthony Greene. He continued to compete in NOAH throughout 2022 and into 2023, participating in various matches and tag team bouts. Rogers’ involvement in NOAH has expanded his international experience and exposure in the wrestling world.
Rogers is known for his dynamic wrestling style, combining technical proficiency with high-flying maneuvers. His versatility and adaptability have made him a standout performer in both tag team and singles competition.
