Roots and Early Wrestling Career (1:54)
The team began in Las Vegas in 2015, initially pursuing careers in the entertainment industry. In 2017, they met a former wrestler who reignited their childhood dream of wrestling. Prior to this, they focused on other sports and interests. They received a WWE tryout in June 2017, despite having no wrestling experience.
Seeking formal training, they moved to Jake the Snake Roberts’ Snake Pit in Las Vegas. There, they trained under Jake the Snake Roberts and D-Lo Brown. They learned basic wrestling skills like bumping, rolling, and the mechanics of the sport. Their style was inspired by the Attitude Era and the Legion of Doom. They focused on authenticity, aiming to reflect their true selves in their persona. Their training refined their technique, including wrestling psychology and character development. The team blends power, agility, and old-school techniques in their unique wrestling style. Their journey reflects passion, determination, and a commitment to their childhood dreams.
Origin of The Qrown Name (10:47)
The name “The Qrown” was conceived in February 2020 after personal challenges, including brain surgery for Leonis Khan. It was initially part of a trio concept but became associated with just the two brothers after the third member left. The pandemic allowed them time to focus on self-improvement and training, leading to their reinvention as wrestlers. The name was suggested by a friend during this difficult time, and they felt it carried a deeper, almost divine significance.
Move to Kentucky, OVW (16:08)
They relocated to Kentucky for training and experience, encouraged by coaches to gain live TV experience at OVW. Their time in Kentucky was marked by personal challenges, including brain surgery for Leonis Khan, which fueled their determination. After four years in Kentucky, they moved to Florida to pursue further opportunities in wrestling.
The Future, Goals (20:34)
The team’s ultimate goal is to become the greatest tag team of all time, aspiring to compete in major promotions like WWE or AEW. They emphasize their authenticity as real brothers, which enhances their chemistry in the ring.
Not a Gimmick (28:29)
They emphasize authenticity in their wrestling persona, stating it reflects their true selves, not a gimmick. Their childhood love for wrestling and influences from legends like the Legion of Doom shaped their ring identity. They mention advice from D-Lo Brown about staying true to themselves and amplifying their authenticity. Their brotherly bond and real-life experiences contribute to their chemistry and authenticity as a tag team, making their character feel genuine to the audience.
